Disaster Recovery

To help recovery in the unforeseen event of MediaStore not functioning properly, it is recommended that back ups of the database are taken at a regular interval. MySQL provides ‘mysqldump’ – a utility to back up the entire database. Alternatively, you may also copy the entire database directory from MySQL’s data directory and back it up elsewhere. Please ensure any back up procedure is carried out at a time when MediaStore is likely not to be in use.

It is also important to back up the folder containing all MediaStore related files in your application server.
